AIO has been tested to industry standards to ensure its effectiveness and safety and to ensure it meets legislation required to operate in health and care sectors around the world.

IKI Certification


AIO systems have been tested and verified by the IKI Institute for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Control GmbH. The aim of the study was to determine the bactericidal and yeasticidal effectiveness of the AIO devices for the following pathogens.

  • Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538
  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442
  • Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212
  • LIsteria monocytogenes DSM 19094
  • Candida auris DSM 11092
Each study was conducted in a controlled laboratory environment. The test study was carried out based on the VAH methods for surface and instrument disinfection. A suspension of the test organisms was applied to various surfaces (PVC, glass, metal) in a room of 35 m.

Average test results over 10 minutes

For individual groups of pathogens, a reduction in germs on surfaces of over 99% was achieved within 10 minutes.

Types of surfaces tested

Testing antimicrobial effectiveness for selected surface types. Three types of test plates are presented: stainless steel, plastic and glass. They are all contaminated with a bacterial suspension and exposed to UV-C radiation for a certain period of time: plastic, glass and metal.

Additional proof of performance through UVC dosimeter test cards

Our UVC system “AIO” works with a wavelength of 253.7 nm, the most effective wavelength for inactivating microbes. By attaching UVC dosimeters we can document the effect of the light source. The UVC dosimeter test cards visibly change color in a 3-stage color gradient.

The color change due to the different accumulation of UVC radiation (energy) helps to identify whether the surface to be disinfected or sterilized has received sufficient energy to kill various types of bacteria, viruses and spores, including the most common MRSA and C-Diff, etc ., to kill or reduce.

This allows us to ensure that the correct UVC dose reaches the most relevant surfaces in the rooms that need to be disinfected.
